Healing Sessions
Experience the gentle laying-on of hands and the powerful healing energies of
Reiki! Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation and stress reduction that
promotes healing of mind, body and spirit. Through an attunement process, the
Reiki practitioner is able to channel God-directed life force energies through their
hands to heal the whole person. It is complementary medicine, in that its use is
adjunct to, rather than a replacement for, conventional medicine.
Sessions are tailored to the client's need for full body standard treatment or more
specifically channeled healing such as chakra balancing, aura clearing, healing
attunement, or a combination. Regular sessions are 45-60 minutes.
Complimentary Aroma and Sound Therapies may be included with treatments, so
please indicate sensitivity or intolerance to essential oils, incense or sage
when making appointment.
Reiki treatments are administered with client fully clothed and sitting on a chair or
lying on a Reiki table. The flow of energy is not impeded by clothing or jewelry;
however, for greatest relaxation, it is best to wear comfortable clothes and quiet
jewelry.
If you have a friend or family member who may benefit from these services, gift
certificates are available for any service or class.
If your group would like a presentation on energy/spiritual healing, that may be
arranged.
Anyone who has been attuned to any level of Reiki is
welcome to join a regularly scheduled Reiki Share --
for guided meditation, Reiki healing session, discussion

Classes Offered
Know Thyself Healing Center offers the following classes:
Reiki I & II, Advanced Reiki Training (ART), and Reiki III/Master and
Karuna Reiki®!
Reiki Class Descriptions
Reiki I & II
This class combines the first two levels of Usui Reiki as a comprehensive,
two-day intensive training, with attunements given for both levels.
However, if the student already has Reiki I, he/she may register for just
the second day to receive Reiki II. The class includes all of the
information and techniques, including the following:
- Standard hand positions for treating self and others
- Full treatment technique
- Japanese healing techniques such as Gassho meditation; Reiji-ho --
using one's intuition to find areas that need healing; Byosen
scanning -- using the sensitivity of the hands to find areas of the
body that need Reiki; Gyoshi Ho -- sending Reiki with the eyes;
Kenyoku -- clearing negative energy or dry bathing; Koki-ho --
using the breath to send Reiki; Jacki-kiri Joka-ho -- clearing

- Reiki II symbols: their meaning and how to use them
- How to change habits
- Healing that transcends time or space
- 4 Usui/Tibetan attunements for Reiki I

Advanced Reiki Training (ART)
This is a comprehensive 1-day intensive. It is often taught as a 3-day
intensive with Reiki III/Master training. ART is a prerequisite for taking
the Reiki III/Master class. It includes:
- The Usui Master attunement which enhances the power of your
Reiki energy - The Usui Master symbol which strengthens the power of your Reiki
II symbols and enhances your healing abilities - Reiki meditations that expand consciousness and strengthen the
mind - Advanced Reiki techniques for problem solving and achieving goals
- Psychic surgery or aura cleansing
- The use of crystals and stones and crystal grids that enhance Reiki
energy and continue healing on an ongoing basis - Guided meditation with Reiki Guides for continued guidance and
healing - Exercise for those taking Reiki III/Master training
Cost, $225.00 with a $75.00 non-refundable deposit.

Reiki III/Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master
This class is taught as a two-day intensive. It is designed for those who
wish to enhance their own healing abilities and/or to teach and attune
others to Reiki energy. Its prerequisite is Advanced Reiki Training (ART).
It includes:
- The complete Reiki III Usui/Tibetan Reiki Master attunement
- Two Tibetan Master symbols for a total of 6 sacred Reiki symbols
- Instruction on how to give all Reiki attunements for Reiki I, II,
ART, and full Reiki Master - Instruction on how to give the Healing Attunement described in
"Reiki, the Healing Touch" manual for Reiki I & II - The Usui system attunements are taught as well as the Usui/Tibetan
system - How to give yourself attunements
- Ample class-time practice on giving all attunements
- Advanced Reiki meditation that harmonizes the energy of the
chakras - The values and orientation of a true Reiki Master
The class combines lecture, demonstration and lots of practice so that the
student feels proficient in giving all Reiki attunements, including the
Healing Attunement. Since Master-attuned students are practicing the
attunements on each other, each student benefits from the deep healing
and strengthening of their Reiki energies through the repeated
attunement processes. A detailed manual with all attune-ments is included.

Karuna Reiki®
This class is for anyone who has had Reiki Master training and has been
attuned to the Usui Master symbol.
"Karuna is a Sanscrit word used in Hinduism and Buddhism. It is
translated to mean any action that is taken to diminish the suffering of
others and could also be translated as "compassionate action." When
individuals experience enlightenment, they report that all beings are
known as one. Therefore, it is natural to extend compassionate action or
Karuna to everyone without distinction because we are all one. As we help
others and aid them in the healing process, all beings benefit. Because of
the oneness of all beings, it is understood that Karuna is not only
extended to others out of love, but also because it is an entirely logical
thing to do. In the same way that you would want to heal your own
wounds, you would also want the wounds of others to heal. It is also stated
in the Buddhist literature that Karuna must be accompanied by parjna or
wisdom in order to have the right effect.

working to end suffering on Earth. They continually send an unlimited
amount of healing energy and guidance to us, but not all are receptive to

Karuna Reiki® is a trademarked system founded and developed by William
Lee Rand of the International Center for Reiki Training (ICRT). As
"Registered Karuna Reiki® Master" with ICRT, I offer Karuna Reiki® classes
using ICRT manuals. My students will receive Karuna Reiki® certification
through the ICRT. Accepting Reiki Masters only.
